The European Fintech Association denounces the war in Ukraine and condemns the violation of international law. We are deeply concerned by the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding and we urge all parties to work towards a peaceful resolution.

The violence that we are witnessing cannot be accepted or allowed to happen under any circumstances by the European and international authorities. These actions will only bring suffering to innocent civilian lives. 

We support the sanctions put in place by Europe and will implement them. We will continue to work closely with European Institutions to monitor the situation and the impact on the fintech industry. The EFA stands ready to support the European and national authorities in their efforts to put an end to this unjustified attack by providing their deep knowledge and vast experiences in fields such as cybersecurity, anti-money laundering or consumer finance.

As a trade association, our mission is to collaborate, seek opportunities for dialogue and bridge differences for common advocacy. This military aggression is in direct opposition to the values that are core to our organization.

We stand in solidarity with all those who are suffering and everyone affected by this crisis.
